This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to products that make a meaningful difference in patient care.
You are responsible for:
- Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining embedded software for motion control and safety-related subsystems within SPECT Molecular Imaging systems.
- Driving end-to-end embedded software development activities, including requirements definition, architecture, design, implementation, testing, integration, and ongoing product support.
- Developing and maintaining software requirements, architecture documentation, design specifications, and technical documentation.
- Developing, debugging, and optimizing embedded software using programming languages such as C, C++, or C#.
- Designing and supporting low-level hardware/software interfaces, device drivers, and communication protocols.
- Developing and implementing motion control functionality, motor tuning, safety mechanisms, and fail-safe error-handling capabilities.
- Ensuring software designs and implementations conform to applicable safety requirements, development processes, and established engineering standards.
- Performing unit testing, debugging, and verification activities to ensure software functionality, reliability, and quality.
- Supporting system-level integration, troubleshooting, and validation of embedded software within complex electromechanical systems.
- Utilizing hardware debugging and diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, CAN analyzers, and other specialized instrumentation.
- Investigating and resolving software and hardware integration issues identified during development, laboratory testing, manufacturing, or field operation.
- Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, systems, and software engineering teams to evaluate system interactions, technical risks, and product performance.
- Participating in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, work estimation, technical discussions, and execution of assigned deliverables.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance software quality, development efficiency, and product reliability.
Required Qualifications:
