Job summary
Hillenbrand is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of embedded Linux platforms, industrial controls, and IoT edge devices. You will drive architecture, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver scalable, secure solutions for digital transformation.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining software, leading reviews, developing web dashboards, and building cloud-connected services for diagnostics and remote management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with technical leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ development and experience on Linux-based embedded platforms.
- Experience with industrial controls, instrumentation, automation systems, IoT products, or edge computing.
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, data analytics, and real-time multithreaded apps is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead software development for embedded Linux platforms and IoT edge devices.
- Design, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain complex software applications.
- Drive software architecture reviews and technical design from concept to deployment.
- Develop modern web apps, dashboards, and data visualization for industrial solutions.
- Create cloud-connected services for remote monitoring, diagnostics, analytics, and device management.
- Implement AI-enabled capabilities for automation, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement and modernization.
