Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering to advance embedded GPS software for defense applications. You will develop and debug real-time embedded C/C++, review requirements, and contribute to design on target hardware, with a focus on mission reliability.

On-site in Yorba Linda, CA with a 4/10 schedule (10-hour shifts). Candidates should have a Bachelor's in CS/CE/EE, 6+ years of embedded software experience, and be eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 6+ years in real-time embedded software.
4+ years leading embedded software projects or teams.
6+ years of C/C++ coding and debugging; DoD/DoW experience
Security clearance may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

Actively contribute to embedded C/C++ development for GPS and related equipment on target hardware.
Develop high-quality design documentation and traceability.
Interpret customer specifications to define software requirements.
Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers.
