Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering in Yorba Linda, CA. You will develop and debug embedded GPS-related software, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to mission-critical hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities include requirement analysis, design documentation, code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. A SECRET clearance is preferred. On-site with a 4/10 schedule in Yorba Linda.

Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ development for GPS equipment with on-target debugging.
• Ability to interpret requirements and produce detailed design documents.
• Experience leading embedded software projects in DoD contexts.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Experience with real-time embedded OS and MOSA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to embedded C/C++ development for GPS and related equipment, including integration on target hardware.
• Develop high-quality documentation covering design details and demonstrating compliance to requirements.
• Interpret customer specifications to assist in defining software design and modification.
• Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance for other engineers on the software development team.
• Support new programs from conceptual design through detailed design to completion.
• Support legacy programs through incremental modification, analysis, and test of existing solutions.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
