Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineering in Yorba Linda, CA. The role focuses on embedded C/C++ development for GPS and PNT systems, including on-target debugging, documentation, and design analysis to meet strict performance requirements.

Successful candidates will contribute to requirements analysis, code reviews, and proof-of-concept evaluations while pursuing potential government contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in the design and analysis of realtime embedded software.
• Master of Science or advanced degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to embedded C/C++ development for GPS and related equipment, including integration and debugging on target hardware
• Develop high quality documentation covering design details and demonstrating compliance to requirements
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
