L3Harris Technologies in Yorba Linda, CA seeks a Specialist, Software Engineering - Real-time Embedded GPS to design, develop and debug robust embedded software for GPS receivers and simulators that meet strict performance requirements. You will analyze requirements, produce detailed documentation, and perform design reviews while collaborating with DoD customers.

The role emphasizes on-target work, integration with Linux/Windows environments, and on-site 4/10 shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 9+ years of real-time embedded software experience.
• 2+ years as a team lead or SME on embedded software projects.
• 2+ years with DoD/DoW customers or subcontractors.
• 5+ years Python and C/C++ experience.
• 5+ years embedded software development on Linux or Windows.

Responsibilities

• Embed C/C++ development for GPS and related equipment; debug on target hardware.
• Embedded software design, development, and test.
• Produce high-quality documentation showing design details and requirements compliance.
• Analyze requirements, conduct design reviews, and evaluate design alternatives.
• Maintain DoD SECRET clearance eligibility or ability to obtain.
