Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Owego, NY seeks a Senior Software Engineer to define and deliver mission-system software for the LE FoS, focusing on embedded C/C++ for small UAS and launch platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent STEM computing field.
• Two or more years of experience developing C/C++ code for embedded systems.
• Experience developing and debugging software that interfaces with hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded C/C++ mission-system software for small UAS and launch systems.
• Develop device drivers and interfaces for ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, and Ethernet.
• Build and extend simulation and software-in-the-loop infrastructure for capability-based testing.
• Support laboratory and system checkout, troubleshoot defects, and drive them to closure.
