Job summary
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Level 2 Software Engineer to join the RMSOwego team in Owego, NY. You will design, develop, and integrate embedded software for aircraft navigation systems, applying RTOS/Linux environments and real-time debugging in a safety-critical setting.
You will collaborate with engineers across the software lifecycle, participate in peer reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and automated testing. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills are essential.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience with an Associates or 1+ year with a Bachelors in STEM.
- Experience developing C/C++ code for embedded systems.
- Experience developing, integrating, and debugging software for RTOS/embedded Linux.
- US Citizenship required for DoD clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and maintain embedded software for aircraft navigation systems.
- Analyze requirements and implement software for RTOS/hypervisors.
- Perform software/hardware integration and system-level debugging.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for quality and safety certification.
- Support DevSecOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing.
