Job summary

Lockheed Martin in California seeks a self-starting embedded software/firmware engineer for sUAS. You will design, develop, integrate, and deploy software for drones and control devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will write robust code, perform software tests, participate in peer reviews, and contribute to documentation and production support. Experience with C/C++, ArduPilot/PX4, Git, and microcontrollers is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Experience in C, C++, Java, Bash and/or Python programming.
• Experience with sUAS or RC aircraft.
• Experience with ArduPilot or PX4.
• Git
• Experience with Mavlink message protocol

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and deploy software and firmware for sUAS, accessories, and control devices.
• Contribute to quality via peer reviews, documentation, and addressing issues.
• Support production team and create effective software tests.
