Job summary

magniX, based in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Everett, WA. You will develop and verify embedded software powering electric propulsion and battery systems, spanning requirements to release, ensuring safety-critical performance.

Collaborate with software, hardware, test, and certification teams to tackle energy storage, motor control, and real-time systems challenges, while driving architecture and process improvements across development stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Software development and verification experience in DO-178B/C with 4+ years (Level II) or 7+ years (Level III).
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and an embedded toolchain (TI Code Composer Studio).
• Experience with model-based design tools such as SCADE and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with embedded system and software architecture, microcontrollers, and hardware-software integration.
• Experience with test case definition, unit, integration, and HIL testing, and with requirements and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software plans, processes, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define and review high-level requirements and support architecture definition.
• Design and review low-level requirements using model-based and textual approaches.
• Develop and review C/C++ and assembly source code to product standards.
