Job summary

Eaton's PCS division is seeking an Embedded Software Specialist to join its team in Moon Township, PA. This hybrid role includes leading software architecture, real-time data processing, and secure connectivity for energy metering and power quality products.

You will translate product and marketing requirements into technical specs, drive compliance with IEEE, IEC, and NEMA standards, and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and validation teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of embedded software experience for industrial products.
• Minimum 5 years of technical leadership involving embedded software/hardware integration.
• Experience with C/C++ in RTOS or embedded Linux and real-time data processing.

Responsibilities

• Define robust software and system architectures for metering products.
• Lead high-precision measurement algorithms and power quality analysis.
• Collaborate across product management, firmware, hardware, and validation teams.
