Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division seeks a Senior Electronics Engineer for a hybrid role based in Moon Township, PA. The position leads verification and validation for circuit breakers and protection systems, and drives testing automation while mentoring global V&V teams.

Responsibilities include developing V&V strategies, testing many layers from firmware to system level, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the electronics field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and communication protocols.
• Testing experience with full life cycle of product development.
• Experience in testing automation framework design and development.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical and project lead for verification and validation of new product development projects and product line support activities.
• Design and drive the testing automation framework.
• Lead and provide training for the global V&V teams.
• Participate and facilitate process improvement and changes.
• Develop verification and validation strategies, plans, and procedures for embedded firmware, hardware, and system-level testing.
• Analyze product requirements, functional specifications, and applicable industry standards to derive verification requirements and ensure traceability.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain verification test cases, test scripts, and test frameworks for embedded protection systems.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and release testing for electronic trip units and associated circuit breaker products.
• Validate communication interfaces and interoperability, including industrial communication protocols and configuration software.
• Develop and maintain automated test systems and laboratory equipment to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, and coverage.
