Job summary

Amazon Industrial Robotics is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to help develop the next generation of automation at scale. You will lead architecture efforts, mentor teammates, and work with cross‑functional teams on edge‑of‑the‑frontier robotic systems using C/C++ in embedded environments.

The role involves designing, developing, testing, and debugging complex robotic systems, plus contributing to hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, safety, and sensor integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language.
• 4+ years of leading design/architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of development in C or C++ within embedded environment or robotic systems.
• Deep understanding of Hardware–In–the–Loop methodology, Matlab, and Simulink Real Time.

Responsibilities

• Learn and master components including networking/Wi‑Fi, safety systems, and sensors.
• Lead architecture of complex systems and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop novel robotic solutions and take measured risks when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop, test, and debug robotic systems.
• Write automated tests and conduct live testing to validate features.
