Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Security Engineer (SSE) - P4 to join the SSE Sensors, Space, & Air department in Goleta, CA. The role focuses on Anti‑Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity to deliver secure DoD systems. The candidate will lead technical efforts, develop security plans, and coordinate with stakeholders in a classified environment.

Applicants must hold a DoD Secret clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and have a strong background in security engineering for embedded systems, with 6+

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable DoD Secret clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
• Experience with Anti‑Tamper, Cybersecurity, Software Assurance and embedded security in DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPI analysis and SSE requirements generation.
• Develop Anti‑Tamper and security plans for embedded systems.
• Lead verification & validation plans and briefs with stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25% as necessary.
