Job summary

RTX (Raytheon Technologies) is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer (SSE) - P3 for the SSE Sensors, Space, & Air team in El Segundo, CA. The role emphasizes anti-tamper and embedded cybersecurity to deliver secure DoD-grade products to customers.

The onsite position requires up to 25% travel, eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance, and a STEM degree with at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience with design/development/implementation in Anti‑Tamper, Cybersecurity, or Software Assurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPI analysis and SSE requirements generation, derivation, and decomposition.
• Conduct SSE trade-studies and provide path forward recommendations.
• Create and maintain system models and artifacts (functional block, sequence, activity diagrams).
• Develop the program Anti‑Tamper Plan and V&V Plans and Procedures.
• Present in internal and external reviews and report tasking status to leadership.
• Travel up to 25% as necessary.
