Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer (SSE) in Goleta, CA to lead embedded cybersecurity initiatives for DoD programs, focusing on Anti-Tamper and secure hardware/software solutions. The role emphasizes system-level analysis, architecture, and hands-on engineering in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will perform CPI analysis, SSE requirements, trade studies, V&V planning, and present progress to leadership, traveling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; US citizenship is required.
• Experience in Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity, Software Assurance.
• Experience designing and fielding real-time embedded security solutions for DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPI analysis.
• Generate SSE requirements, derivation, and decomposition.
• Conduct SSE trade-studies and provide path forward recommendations.
• Develop modeling artifacts: functional block, sequence, activity diagrams.
• Develop the Anti-Tamper Plan and V&V Plans/Procedures.
• Present in internal and external reviews and report tasking status.
• Travel up to 25% as necessary.
