Job summary

Copeland, based at the Sidney, OH location, is seeking a Lead Power Electronics Software Engineer. You will develop embedded software for variable speed motor drives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document tests for both engineering and manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software for motor control, strong C experience, and familiarity with DFMEA and agency testing such as UL. The role is hybrid and in-office at least three days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in embedded C for motor control systems.
• Experience across software development lifecycle from requirements to verification.

Responsibilities

• Generate embedded software for variable speed motor control drives.
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to complete tasks.
• Develop and document tests for engineering and manufacturing tests of drives.
• Own software DFMEA for motor control drives and validate with compressors.
