Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer in Sidney, OH to develop and support electrical hardware for the Oil Free Centrifugal team. You will work with controls to validate designs, optimize controllers and power electronics, and lead testing and field support.

The role requires hands-on experience with high-power electrical systems, diagnostics, and documentation, with travel up to 10–15% and sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment with 3+ years in power electronics integration, motion control, turbomachinery or similar.
• Experience in setup, operation and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and support electrical hardware and systems for OFC.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineering to validate electrical hardware and control methods.
• Lead design optimization of controllers, VFDs, motors, cabling and transformers.
• Prepare test setups, procedures and documentation; support production and field teams.
