Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain the spacecraft OS stack for autonomous flight. You will develop low-level software for avionics, manage embedded Linux platforms, and implement secure firmware deployment and update mechanisms.

Responsibilities include bootloader integration, security enhancements, and hardware-software integration for space-grade satellites. You will work in a hands-on, mission-critical environment in Los Angeles.

Formación

• 8+ years writing code for operating systems, ideally Yocto or embedded Linux on spacecraft or hardware.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or equivalent, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust.

Responsabilidades

• Develop the low level software that configures and drives the processor peripherals and communication interfaces on avionics.
• Develop, configure, and maintain embedded Linux platforms and bootloader frameworks (Yocto, Buildroot, WolfBoot, U-Boot).
• Design, implement, and validate firmware update mechanisms, including bootloader integration and secure deployment.
• Design and implement security enhancements across complex software architectures.
