Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a hands-on Embedded OS Engineer to own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack on our MK2 drone platform (Qualcomm QRB5165). You will build the OS, ensure security, reliability, and ship via automated CI/CD pipelines in a headless embedded environment.

The role requires deep experience with low-level OS internals, Yocto/BitBake, and image building. You will design and maintain build recipes, post-processing, and system hardening for production images.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with embedded OS development
• Deep knowledge of Linux OS internals and boot sequences
• Proven ability to build and customize embedded images (Yocto/BitBake)
• Experience in securing and hardening embedded systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for firmware releases
• Proficiency with debugging build pipelines and performance tuning

Responsibilities

• Own the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform
• Maintain and extend Yocto recipes and image recipes
• Develop and integrate post-build OS hardening and patching
• Optimize build times and CI/CD pipelines for firmware images
• Diagnose and fix build failures across the do_fetch/do_compile/do_rootfs/do_image pipeline
