Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and integrate next-generation devices with embedded Linux. You will work with hardware engineers, system architects, and program managers to implement and troubleshoot kernel drivers and BSP, while developing real-time firmware and security-focused software for the platform.

You will design and maintain C/C++ code for embedded systems, optimize Linux kernel components, port BSPs and graphics

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with C/C++.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C/C++ code for embedded systems.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in kernel drivers, BSP, and OS framework integration.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to problems found during product integration and in the field.
• Develop and implement low-level embedded software including kernel device drivers, network stack components, platform porting, and other system-level programming activities.
• Develop, port, and test software and firmware layers within the Linux kernel and associated frameworks.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and test automation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Participate in code and design reviews.
