Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer to own the boot chain and deviceOS enhancements for our Robotics Platform. You will customize BSPs for Jetson-based hardware, debug end-to-end boot issues, and ensure deterministic hardware availability across deployed fleets.

The role requires strong C development for kernel/driver work, plus experience with Rust or C++ for userspace integration.

Qualifications

4+ years of embedded Linux platform experience or kernel-adjacent work.
Deep understanding of boot chain, U-Boot/EDK2, device trees, and rootfs assembly.
Proficient in C; working knowledge of Rust or C++ for userspace integration.
Experience debugging hardware at bench level using schematics and datasheets.
Experience maintaining software on deployed hardware with safe updates.

Responsibilities

Own the boot path end-to-end from firmware to encrypted root filesystem.
Customize and sustain vendor BSPs with patches and upstream changes.
Ensure peripherals are reliably enumerated and operational across boots.
Triage CVEs and remediate kernel/vendor issues on deployed hardware.
Automate Hardware-in-the-Loop tests to catch regressions before flight/field deployment.
Perform deep root-cause analysis using serial, logic analyzers, and schematics.
Triage upstream issues and contribute patches when needed.
