Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior Embedded BSP Engineer to own the NVIDIA Jetson Thor compute platform in humanoid robots. You will bring up carrier boards, tailor boot chains, and secure reproducible OS images while collaborating with firmware, hardware, QA, and manufacturing teams.

You will optimize low-latency performance, participate in design reviews, and help scale from prototype fleets to large deployments, contributing to platform quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering or CS with hands-on embedded work.
• Minimum 5 years building and shipping embedded Linux/QNX systems.
• Strong Jetson experience and carrier-board bring-up skills.
• Proficient C/C++ and kernel development with debugging expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BSP for NVIDIA Jetson Thor and custom carrier boards.
• Configure boot chain, OS, and out-of-tree modules for reliability.
• Build reproducible OS images with CI-driven processes.
• Tune real-time behavior (PREEMPT_RT, CPU isolation, IRQ affinity).
• Lead hardware collaboration for bring-up from proto to production.
• Triaged boot, kernel, driver, and thermal issues with root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to reviews and influence platform architecture.
