Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the boot chain and device trees across NVIDIA Jetson compute generations. You will work between the platform organization and Sentry product teams to ensure a working, production-ready boot on hardware.

The role focuses on debugging end-to-end boot, crafting device trees, and delivering kernel/BSP patches while sustaining deployed hardware through lifecycle transitions. Strong C/C++ and Rust skills required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering with embedded Linux platform or kernel-adjacent integration work.
• Deep understanding of the embedded Linux boot chain: firmware, bootloader, UEFI, kernel, initrd, and root filesystem.
• Device tree fluency for custom hardware and overlays, mapping pinout to device trees.

Responsibilities

• Own the boot path end-to-end: firmware, UEFI, kernel image, initrd, encrypted root, and handoff to a running NixOS system.
• Guarantee hardware availability at boot: all buses, peripherals, and interfaces correctly enumerated and functional.
• Own carrier board device trees: produce and maintain DTS/DTSI/overlays driven by hardware engineers.
• Patch kernel, bootloader, and BSP when vendor support is lacking and forward patches across platform upgrades.
• Serve as liaison to platform org: reproduce issues, review upstream changes, and land product-side integration for new releases.
• Sustain deployed generations through vendor lifecycles with security patches and backports.
