Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support NSWC PCD in Panama City, FL, onsite. You will lead mixed-signal hardware design, produce schematics and PCB layouts, and ensure SI/PI and EMI/EMC compliance while integrating microprocessors with C/C++.

Required active interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI, US citizenship, and 5 years of related experience. Travel up to 10% is expected; Masters may substitute for two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Active Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5 years of similar/related experience.
• Masters Degree may substitute for 2 years experience.
• 3 years embedded hardware design and full lifecycle development.
• Extensive schematic capture and PCB layout tool experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232/485, CAN, Ethernet, USB.
• Lab equipment experience for debugging and characterization.
• Moderate proficiency in C/C++ for embedded MCUs.
• EMI/EMC mitigation techniques in designs.
• Fiber optic system components integration.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of mixed-signal hardware systems with MCUs and power management.
• Create detailed schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using industry tools.
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance.
• Implement microprocessors using C/C++ in designs.
• Run simulations with LTspice or Pspice.
• Assemble, test, and bring up hardware prototypes.
• Use lab equipment to verify system performance.
• Develop hardware test plans, thermal and reliability tests.
• Troubleshoot hardware down to component level.
• Create and maintain engineering docs and BOMs.
