Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Experienced Electronics Technician to support NSWC projects in Florida. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team to design, test, and bring up unmanned system hardware, including mixed-signal circuits and microcontrollers.

This role requires a security clearance and US citizenship. Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit simulations, and hands-on testing with lab equipment.

Qualifications

  • Active Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5 years of related experience in hardware design.
  • 3 years of embedded hardware design experience in full product lifecycle.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design.
  • Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232/485, CAN, Ethernet and USB.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (power supplies, loads, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mixed-signal hardware design including MCUs and power management.
  • Create detailed schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts.
  • Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Implement embedded code in C/C++.
  • Run circuit simulations with LTspice or PSpice.
  • Assemble, test, and bring up hardware prototypes.
  • Verify performance with lab equipment and tests.
  • Develop hardware test plans, thermal and reliability testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues down to component level.
  • Document hardware design specs and BOMs.
