Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. in Fort Walton Beach, FL seeks a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical lead on advanced defense programs.

You will architect complex electrical systems, oversee design, integration, and qualification of high-reliability PWA/CCAs and rugged interconnects. The role requires 15+ years in aerospace/defense hardware, mastery of low-noise analog design, high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR4, FPGA), MIL-STD-461/810, IPC-2221/2222, and DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution; Master’s (MSEE) or PhD preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in electrical hardware design within aerospace/defense or national security sectors.
• Mastery of low-noise analog design, power electronics, and high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, DDR4, FPGA integration).
• Deep MIL-STD-461/810 and IPC-2221/2222 knowledge.
• DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Architect high-complexity electrical systems and sub-systems aligned to mission requirements and roadmaps.
• Lead technical design reviews (PDR, CDR) and oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for high-speed digital and precision analog systems.
• Drive ruggedized interconnect architectures with SWaP considerations for military environments.
• Define and lead verification and validation plans, including EMI/EMC testing and environmental qualification.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between mechanical, software, and systems teams.
• Establish internal engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
