Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer for our Huntsville client, a leader in rugged embedded computing solutions for defense, aerospace, and industrial applications. You will serve as a senior technical contributor, owning complex hardware programs from concept through validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, embedded hardware design, or electronic product development.
• Strong understanding of PC architecture and processor-based embedded systems.
• Demonstrated PCB design capability including schematic capture and routing.
• Experience with high-speed PCB design, differential signaling, and crosstalk.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and validation.
• Ability to develop test and verification plans and verify hardware against requirements.
• Self-starting, independent problem-solver capable of handling complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical contributor and design authority for complex embedded hardware programs.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and support advanced electronic systems.
• Work with independence to manage tasks from concept to validation.
