Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead complex embedded hardware projects. You will design, implement, test, and support rugged embedded boards with Intel/ARM cores, DDR memory, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces, taking technical ownership from architecture to production release.

You will collaborate across hardware, FPGA, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant electrical/embedded hardware design experience.
• Strong knowledge of PC architecture and hardware interconnects.
• PCB design capability with hands-on routing and placement.
• Experience with high-speed design considerations and signal integrity.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification planning.
• Ability to develop test/verification plans and ensure product requirements.
• Self-starting, able to work independently across the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support advanced embedded hardware systems.
• Create digital hardware with Intel/ARM processors, DDR memory, FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs.
• Implement high-speed interfaces such as DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, and multi-Gb Ethernet.
• Own complex hardware programs from architecture through production release.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
