Job summary

Key People in Huntsville seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to own complex embedded hardware programs, designing and bringing up boards with Intel/ARM processors, DDR4/DDR5 memory, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces.

You will work independently, collaborate across hardware, FPGA, software, and manufacturing teams, influence architecture and processes, and ensure rugged, reliable production releases for defense and industrial applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years in electrical/embedded hardware design.
• Strong PC architecture and interconnects.
• Proven PCB design with layout and routing.
• Experience with high-speed signaling and differential pairs.
• Ability to bring-up hardware and verify against requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support advanced embedded hardware.
• Design digital hardware with Intel/ARM processors, DDR4/DDR5, FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs.
• Work with high-speed interfaces: PCIe and multi-Gigabit Ethernet.
• Own hardware programs from architecture through production release.
