Job summary

Talent With Heart seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL, to lead design and development of rugged embedded hardware for defense, aerospace, and industrial applications.

You will own complex hardware programs, work with Intel/ARM processors, DDR4/DDR5, FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs, and high-speed interfaces, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, embedded hardware design, or electronic product development.
• Strong understanding of PC architecture, processor-based embedded systems, and hardware interconnects.
• Demonstrated PCB design capability, including schematic capture, component selection, and hands-on PCB placement and routing.
• Strong understanding of high-speed PCB design considerations, including differential signaling and transmission-line loss and crosstalk.
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, root-cause debug, and product verification/validation.
• Ability to develop test and verification plans and validate hardware against product requirements.
• Self-starting approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently through complex technical issues.
• Willingness and ability to contribute across the complete product development lifecycle, from requirements and concept through design, bring-up/debug, verification/validation, production release, and sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support advanced embedded hardware systems.
• Design digital hardware incorporating processors, memory, FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs, and high-speed interfaces (DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, multi-Gigabit Ethernet).
• Take technical ownership of complex hardware programs from architecture to production release.
