Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead embedded hardware programs. You will design, develop, test, debug and support advanced electronic systems with independence, focusing on Intel/ARM-based processors, high-speed interfaces, and ruggedized boards.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a strong PCB discipline, and capability across the full product lifecycle from concept to production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related engineering field.
• 7+ years in electrical/embedded hardware design.
• Strong PCB design, schematic capture, and layout skills.
• Experience with high-speed signaling and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design for embedded systems and rugged electronics.
• Implement, test, debug, and bring up complex boards with Intel/ARM processing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on architecture, validation, and production release.
• Ensure design for manufacturability and reliability in defense/aerospace contexts.
