Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC in San Francisco, CA seeks a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to lead architecture for vehicle computing platforms. You will develop firmware, drivers, and hardware interfaces using C/C++ and Python, and collaborate across software, hardware, and electrical teams to improve system reliability and performance.

The role requires deep knowledge of Embedded Linux, RTOS (FreeRTOS/QNX), CAN/LIN/Ethernet, and networking protocols, with hands-on debugging of HIL environments

Qualifications

• Embedded firmware development experience in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and RTOS (FreeRTOS/QNX).
• Experience with device drivers, firmware, and bootloaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead embedded system architecture for vehicle computing and networking platforms.
• Develop embedded firmware and device drivers using C/C++ and Python.
• Work with Linux kernel, FreeRTOS, QNX, and other RTOS platforms.
• Develop and debug CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet communication interfaces.
• Work with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, and gRPC.
• Integrate sensors including LiDAR, Radar, and Cameras.
• Support PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, and system integration.
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and performance optimization.
• Work with hardware, software, and electrical engineering teams.
• Ensure system reliability, safety, and performance.
