Job summary

Everpure in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join the Datastore team. You will design, develop, and validate embedded firmware for DirectFlash modules, building reliable, high-performance storage solutions and virtual platforms to speed development.

You will work across firmware and hardware boundaries, create accurate models, drive CI/CD, and collaborate with ASIC vendors before silicon arrives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building embedded, firmware, or hardware-software systems.
• Strong C/C++ (OO design, C++11+) and Python skills.
• Deep firmware-hardware interaction understanding.
• Solid Linux (kernel, bootloaders) knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe/NVMe storage protocols.
• Experience with RTOS and SoC bring-up.
• Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate embedded firmware and virtual platforms.
• Build high-fidelity virtual platforms to model hardware behaviors.
• Develop and maintain firmware simulation environments (e.g., QEMU).
• Create accurate hardware models for PCIe/NVMe and NAND behavior.
• Design instrumentation to profile performance and analyze failures in simulation.
• Automate CI/CD to integrate simulation into firmware release and validation.
• Collaborate with ASIC vendors to validate firmware against RTL before silicon.
