Job summary

Everpure in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead SSD hardware design from concept through production, collaborating with Pure’s Datastore team to productize a high-performance storage solution.

You will validate hardware at electrical, signal integrity, and protocol levels, mentor junior engineers, and drive system-level tradeoffs across mechanical, thermal, and power domains using PCIe, DDR, NAND, SPI, and I2C.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hardware design and development including schematic, layout, and component selection.
• Experience designing SSD hardware.
• Experience validating hardware at electrical, SI, protocol and functional levels.
• Proficient with high-speed test equipment and debugging.
• Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, implement, and debug SSD hardware designs from concept through production.
• Contribute to architecture, design, documentation, validation, and sustaining activities.
• Drive interoperability testing across server/storage systems and SSDs.
• Diagnose and resolve HW issues with internal teams and external partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Incorporate automation and AI to enhance SSD design and validation processes.
