Job summary

Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Datastore team in Santa Clara, CA. You will design, develop, and validate embedded firmware for our DirectFlash modules, working across firmware and hardware boundaries to build reliable, high-performance storage solutions.

You will also develop virtual platforms and tooling to accelerate development, testing, and validation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in CI/CD integration for firmware releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in embedded, firmware or HW-SW systems.
• Strong C/C++ (OO design, C++11+).
• Proficient in Python for firmware and modeling.
• Solid Linux (kernel/bootloaders) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate embedded firmware for DirectFlash modules.
• Build high-fidelity virtual platforms to accelerate firmware development.
• Create instrumentation to profile performance and diagnose failures.
• Automate CI/CD to integrate simulation and platforms into releases.
• Collaborate with ASIC vendors to validate against RTL before silicon.
