Job summary

Glydways seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to own critical firmware domains for our safety-critical vehicle systems. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to shape the embedded platform, leveraging MCUs, sensors, and main compute to deliver reliable, production-ready firmware.

You will develop and optimize RTOS-based applications, manage bootloaders and drivers, and drive automated testing and rigorous verification.

Qualifications

7+ years of embedded software experience in production systems.
Experience with safety-critical or highly reliable platforms (automotive, aerospace, etc.).
Expert-level C/C++ for embedded systems.
Experience with RTOS environments (PX5 or similar).
Knowledge of SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, TCP/UDP.
Experience with sensor and compute platform bring-up.
Experience with ISO 26262 or similar standards is valued.
Comfort with hardware debugging and test equipment.

Responsibilities

Own critical firmware domains and drive cross-functional projects.
Design, prototype, build, and test production vehicle firmware for safety-critical systems.
Develop and optimize applications in RTOS environments.
Define and evolve communication architecture between MCUs, sensors, and compute.
Lead board and SoC bring-up and debugging.
Define automated testing frameworks and harnesses.
Mentor engineers and set standards across the team.
