Job summary

Full Spectrum is seeking a Senior Embedded C++/Rust Software Engineer (Safety Critical) to support high-priority autonomous robot systems for a warehouse automation client. You will design, develop, and test embedded software with IEC 61508-related safety objectives and contribute to field testing and certification processes.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, work in Linux RTOS environments, and apply modern SDLC practices to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software design, development and testing in C++/Rust for safety-critical systems.
• Strong knowledge of real-time concepts, memory management and Linux performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain novel robotic systems
• Work directly with the client on the architectural design of complex systems
• Collaborate on a cross-functional team to find innovative solutions
• Deliver solutions that balance performance and reliability
• Come up to speed rapidly on system components including networking, security, navigation, obstacle detection, motor control, and safety-related sensors
• Execute in accordance with technical direction from senior team members and work independently
• Leverage AI tooling to streamline development and unit testing
• Develop diagnostics, test code, and utilities to support safety certification
• Support documentation and field testing activities
