Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a firmware engineer for safety-critical embedded systems in autonomous vehicles. You will integrate vendor components, develop RTOS applications, and craft high-quality C/C++ firmware for real-time platforms.

Responsibilities include hardware bring-up, debugging, and ensuring correct operation across subsystems, with emphasis on safety features and system validation. Master’s degree preferred, Sunnyvale office-based role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 12 months of experience as firmware engineer with autonomous vehicle company.
• Proficient in C/C++, Python, shell scripting; Linux, SafeRTOS, Bazel, Git; BSP/HAL; ARM architectures; debugging hardware tools.

Responsibilities

• Integrate vendor components across controllers and subsystems in safety-critical firmware.
• Develop RTOS applications for vehicle platforms.
• Design and develop high-quality C/C++ firmware for real-time embedded systems.
• Support hardware bring-up and perform low-level debugging of boards and SoCs.
• Collaborate to bring up firmware on new devices and maintain cross-subsystem operation.
• Implement safety-critical functionality including fault detection, autonomous responses, watchdogs, and validation.
• Provide technical leadership for platform safety and supervise firmware design across subsystems.
