Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Firmware team within the Vehicle OS group, directing architecture, development, and integration of embedded systems for next-generation automotive experiences.

You will mentor engineers, oversee RTOS, Linux kernel, and HAL development, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to ensure robust, production-ready code for safety-critical vehicle platforms. Based in Sunnyvale, CA with in-office focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/EE from a top program.
• 8+ years of embedded/firmware software experience.
• Proven track record shipping production firmware for automotive/consumer electronics.
• Strong C/C++, RTOS, Linux kernel, and HAL expertise.
• Hands-on hardware integration and debugging experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the firmware/embedded software team.
• Architect and develop low-level software for Vehicle OS.
• Oversee embedded C/C++ codebases, reviews, debugging.
• Collaborate with hardware/software teams to bring up new platforms.
• Ensure delivery of RTOS, Linux kernel, and HAL layers for automotive devices.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders on features and platform initiatives.
