Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8-10+ years of experience in firmware or embedded systems development.
• Proficiency in C, C++, assembly, and machine-level coding.
• Experience delivering software to meet DO178C DAL-B certification.
• Experience with analog and digital hardware systems and hardware/software interaction.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for embedded environments.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, emulators, and other diagnostic tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple development tasks and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Meets objectives for safety-certified software for aerospace per DO-178C.
• Applies software certification knowledge to ensure subsupplier compliance.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture guidance, reviews, and mentoring.
• Performs or oversees software verification in a lab environment.
• Support hardware/software integration and lab debugging with hardware teams.
• Design, develop, modify, and debug embedded firmware across platforms.
• Troubleshoot firmware issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure firmware compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
