Job summary

Amazon’s Project Leo MAC-SW in San Diego, CA seeks experienced embedded FW engineers to design, develop and test Leo-MAC firmware for ground networks and satellites. You will work in a cross-functional team, build drivers and components, profile code on RTOS or bare-metal, and ensure end-to-end performance for next‑gen broadband in a demanding, high‑speed environment.

Applicants should have 5+ years of professional software development, strong C/C++ skills, and prior leadership or tech‑lead

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• Experience leading design or architecture of new or existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-dimensional performance requirements (e.g., MIPs, memory BW).
• Build component use-cases/test-cases and debug in Leo embedded environment.
• Profile and execute code on RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded environment.
• Define, document, test and debug FW-HW interfaces.
• Contribute to services and functionalities delivered by FW-subsystems.
