Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking an experienced engineer in Oshkosh, WI to support hardware/software development for automotive and industrial applications. The role emphasizes embedded systems, HIL testing, and collaborative work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure reliable designs.

You will work under supervision on projects of limited complexity, while gaining exposure to advanced testing, automation, and CI workflows. Regular travel for on-site engineering support may be required.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on approach to troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Experience with automotive/industrial embedded protocols such as CAN and J1939.
• Knowledge of functional safety, cybersecurity, or safety-critical embedded development practices.
• Experience testing complex vehicle, mobile equipment, electrification, or distributed control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and investigations as assigned.
• Support senior engineers in designs, methods, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain HIL test benches and simulations.
• Execute automated regression testing and CI workflows.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams; write high-quality test scripts.
• Follow CMMI level 3 procedures in software writing.
