Job summary

Serco Inc. in Panama City, Florida is seeking an Experienced Electronics Technician to join a multidisciplinary team supporting unmanned systems for NSWC. You will design mixed-signal hardware, create schematics, and develop tests for hardware bring-up in a high-security DoD environment.

You will work with Altium/Siemens Xpedition/OrCAD tools, perform simulations, and integrate microprocessors using C/C++. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 5 years of related experience.
• 3 years of embedded hardware design and full lifecycle development.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Strong C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mixed-signal hardware systems including microcontrollers, power management, and sensor interfaces.
• Create detailed schematics and perform complex, multi-layer PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Ensure adherence to signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC best practices.
• Implement microprocessors into designs using C/C++.
• Run test simulations using Spice (LTspice, Pspice, or equivalent).
• Assemble, test, and bring up hardware prototypes.
• Utilize lab equipment to verify system performance against specs.
• Develop and execute hardware test plans, thermal and reliability testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues to component level.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (design specs, BOMs, schematics).
