Job summary

Serco Inc. in Panama City, Florida, seeks an Experienced Electronics Technician to join the NSWC PCD program on-site. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team supporting unmanned systems, contributing to hardware design, bring-up, testing, and documentation to ensure mission readiness.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship, interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI, a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 5 years of related experience, and strong skills in schematic

Qualifications

• Active Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of related experience.
• 3 years of embedded hardware design and full product lifecycle experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Xpedition, Cadence, KiCad).
• Strong digital and analog circuit design knowledge.
• Experience with embedded protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232/485, CAN, Ethernet, USB).
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mixed-signal hardware design including microcontrollers and power management.
• Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts with industry tools.
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance.
• Implement microprocessors in designs using C/C++.
• Run simulations with LTspice or PSpice.
• Assemble, test, and bring-up hardware prototypes.
• Use lab equipment to verify performance against specs.
• Develop hardware test plans including thermal/reliability testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues to component level.
• Create engineering docs, BOMs, schematics, and end-user instructions.
