Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Cyber Engineer to design and implement cryptographic and platform security for military-grade products. You will work at the lowest stack levels, cryptography on constrained hardware, and harden firmware and Linux, delivering code and systems to support trusted operations.

You will engage with government reviewers, perform vulnerability analysis, and develop automation to prove compliance and secure architectures in contested environments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in production code in languages such as C/C++, Rust, Golang, or Python with strong emphasis on firmware and cryptography.
• 5–8 years of security-critical systems engineering with deep ownership.
• Applied cryptography experience including key handling and entropy management, with boot identity validation.
• Experience with Linux kernel/userspace, memory, filesystems, drivers or firmware, and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve FIPS 140-3 validated encryption across products.
• Own the platform trust chain: secure/measured boot, TPM-backed attestation, firmware signing, rollback protection.
• Design and implement full-disk and data-at-rest encryption, key management, rotation and hierarchies.
• Build anti-tamper and zeroization: tamper detection, emergency erase, destruction paths, and verification tests.
• Engineer secure communications: TLS, PKI, tunneling for cross-domain and degraded networks.
• Build audit/validation tooling and tests, including harnesses, fuzzers, and adversarial tests.
• Harden Linux/container/firmware baselines and codify them for consistent deployments.
• Automate compliance: express NIST 800-53, STIG, CNSSI as machine-readable policy and evidence.
