Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Hardware Architect to lead embedded controls hardware architecture across Thermo King products. You will set standards, drive end-to-end development, and ensure robust connectivity with internal ecosystems and customer systems.

You will mentor hardware teams, advocate reusable designs, and partner with product management, platform engineering, and Telematics to deliver world-class solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in embedded hardware development or architecture definition preferred.
• Strong leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own embedded controls hardware architecture across product lines.
• Define standards for cybersecurity, wireless, and modular design.
• Lead tradeoff analyses and present architectural reports to senior management.
• Create guidelines and templates to improve development cycle time and reuse.
• Provide technical leadership to hardware engineering teams and oversee hardware components.
