Verkada Inc. is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our on-site team in California. You will develop camera features in C/C++ and Python, lead code reviews and debugging, and push new features over-the-air on a frequent cadence.

The role requires a BS/MS in CS and at least five years in embedded software for Linux-based platforms. Candidates should be proficient in C/C++, Golang or Rust, with strong knowledge of modern OS concepts and computer architecture.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or similar degree.
• 5 years of full-time Embedded Software development experience.
• Proficient in at least one system programming language (C, C++, Golang, Rust).
• Linux-based system software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop camera features in C/C++ and Python.
• Lead code reviews, debugging, and bug fixes.
• Experiment/test with new development boards.
• Push new features OTA on a frequent basis.
