Unknown is seeking an embedded software engineer in San Francisco to join a four-person team, providing technical leadership and helping develop a cutting-edge camera system.

You’ll drive the project from prototype to a 2027 launch in a highly autonomous, results-driven environment, with a track record of shipping consumer electronics. Strong experience in embedded C/C++, Linux (Yocto), and camera/video technology is required; startup experience would be highly beneficial.

Qualifications

• Proficient in embedded C/C++ for camera systems
• Strong Linux experience including Yocto Linux
• Experience with consumer electronics products
• Startup experience would be highly beneficial
• Knowledge of camera and/or video technology

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for high-spec camera systems
• Work on a complex IoT product with a large number of sensors involved
• Develop a Linux platform for the device to run on
