Job summary

Columbus Metropolitan Library seeks a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to lead the email program, shaping content and experiences for customers and staff. You will apply analytics, user research, and feedback to drive improvements that align with library goals.

You will partner with IT, Insights, and cross-department teams to optimize campaigns, ensure accessibility, and maintain high-quality communications across multiple audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in email marketing, digital marketing, and analytics.
• Expertise with email marketing platforms, ESPs, and CMS.
• Experience using analytics and customer insights to optimize campaigns.
• Experience writing and editing email content per brand standards.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards from email metrics.
• Experience leading projects and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder skills.
• Experience with multi-site digital ecosystems and AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CML’s subject matter expert on email marketing using analytics and usability research to identify opportunities.
• Lead day-to-day email newsletters for multiple audiences and support the Development team’s program.
• Track KPIs, monitor trends, and report metrics to improve customer experience and strategy.
• Collaborate with Insights to translate research into improvements.
• Coordinate with IT and vendors on platform needs and accessibility standards.
• Work with Marketing, Public Services, Development and other stakeholders to align content with priorities.
• Develop and maintain processes for collecting feedback and use insights for improvements.
• Champion user-centered design and digital best practices across teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
